Bills bring back CB Tre’Davious White on 1-year contract

The Buffalo Bills have brought back cornerback Tre’Davious White on a one-year contract worth up to $6.8 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

White, originally drafted by Buffalo in the first round of 2017, returns after being released last offseason due to salary cap issues and a series of injuries.

White spent last season with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens. After struggling early with the Rams and being benched, he was traded to the Ravens, where he played in seven games, tallying 10 tackles and three pass breakups.

The two-time Pro Bowler adds much-needed depth to the Bills’ secondary, which remains a key area of concern heading into the NFL Draft. Buffalo also re-signed cornerback Dane Jackson this offseason, while Rasul Douglas remains unsigned.

White, once a cornerstone of Buffalo’s defense, has battled injuries in recent years, including a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles in 2023. Despite those setbacks, he brings experience and familiarity with head coach Sean McDermott’s system. Over his seven-year career, White has recorded 333 tackles, 18 interceptions, and 73 passes defended.
