  • Staff Report

An early morning crash into a local business led to a DWI arrest in the town of Manchester on Monday, according to New York State Police.

At approximately 5:18 a.m. on April 14, troopers from SP Canandaigua responded to South Main Street after reports that a vehicle had struck a building. Upon arrival, they discovered a damaged telephone pole and a large hole in the wall of Jack’s Kitchen, a commercial establishment in Ontario County.

The vehicle involved in the crash was no longer at the scene but was located shortly after in a nearby parking lot off Clifton Street. It had been abandoned.

A woman later identified as Samantha I. Jones, 29, of Clyde, was found nearby. Following a DWI investigation, Jones was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Canandaigua for processing.

She was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Town Court on May 14.
