A Syracuse man was arrested early Saturday morning after deputies executed a bench warrant stemming from previous criminal charges.
Jeffrey J. Maddox, 27, was taken into custody at approximately 4:04 a.m. near Exit 41 in Seneca County. Ontario County deputies arrested Maddox on an active warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and possession of burglars’ tools.
The arrest followed an unrelated incident in Onondaga County. Deputies from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office transferred Maddox to the custody of Ontario County authorities. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he will be held pending arraignment.
