Rochester man arrested in Seneca County theft case dating back to 2023

  • Staff Report

A Rochester man turned himself in earlier this month following a long-standing theft investigation involving a Seneca County business.

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that deputies arrested 54-year-old Milton Ellis on April 1 at approximately 5:43 p.m. in the Town of Romulus. Ellis faces a charge of petit larceny, stemming from a January 2023 incident.

Authorities allege Ellis stole property from a business in Seneca County on January 23, 2023. After conducting an investigation, deputies secured an arrest warrant through the Town of Tyre Court.

Ellis voluntarily surrendered at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office. He was processed on the charge and turned over to jail staff to await centralized arraignment proceedings.
