A 60-year-old Auburn woman was arrested Friday after allegedly threatening to return to the courthouse with a weapon following an outburst during a court appearance earlier in the week.
Rose M. Baildon was charged with Making a Threat of Mass Harm, a misdemeanor, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on April 1 at approximately 10:18 a.m. inside the Auburn City Court. Authorities say Baildon became irate and made threatening remarks about committing an act of violence at the courthouse. The nature of the comments led investigators to pursue criminal charges.
Three days later, Baildon turned herself in to deputies at the Public Safety Building. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Auburn City Court on April 16 at 1:00 p.m.
