  • Staff Report

Deputies arrested a Rochester man Wednesday afternoon in connection with a shoplifting incident at a retail store in the Town of Ontario.

Carlos Melendez Roque, 37, is accused of stealing two surge rechargeable flashlights and a 10-piece socket set from the Tractor Supply store. The items were valued at $104.97.

Following the complaint, deputies located Melendez Roque at the Kwik Fill in Ontario. They took him into custody on a charge of petit larceny.

He was issued an appearance ticket and then turned over to the Greece Police Department due to an outstanding warrant, also for petit larceny.
