A Lyons woman is facing criminal charges after police say she violated a court order by showing up at a Red Creek apartment where she was legally barred from being.
Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Chelsea L. Hosmer on April 1 following an early-morning disturbance at a residence on Main Street. According to investigators, Hosmer was at the apartment despite a stay-away order of protection in place to protect the victim at that address.
Hosmer was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor. After being processed by deputies, she was released with an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Wolcott Town Court at a later date.
The Sheriff’s Office said the arrest followed an investigation by Deputy H. Ruffell.
