Website upgrade, budget, and strategy review on deck for Seneca County LDC meeting

  • Staff Report

The Seneca County Local Development Corporation is set to hold its regular meeting on April 3, addressing updates to its website, reviewing its 2025 budget, and taking a deeper look at its economic development strategic plan.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Lyons National Bank Community Room in Waterloo.

Among the most significant new business items is the strategic plan review. Board members are expected to assess the current economic development blueprint, which could shape how Seneca County attracts investment and manages large redevelopment projects like the Willard facility. The discussion will also include how to better coordinate efforts with local and regional partners.

The board will also consider updates to the organization’s website, which will be essential for posting meeting notices, policies, and reports. The 2025 budget is also on the table, a key step in ensuring financial transparency and planning.

Other agenda items include setting a compliance calendar and finalizing banking decisions. Under old business, the board may schedule a public hearing to adopt a new videoconferencing policy that would guide how board members can participate remotely under certain circumstances.

The meeting may enter executive session if needed before adjournment.
