A routine traffic stop in Seneca Falls led to the arrest of a Waterloo woman accused of possessing crack cocaine, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 45-year-old BobbiJo H. Vanhouten around 2:23 a.m. on March 22 after pulling her over for a moving violation on a public highway in the Town of Seneca Falls.
During the investigation, deputies allegedly found drug paraphernalia and a white crystalline rocky substance packaged for use. Authorities identified the substance as crack cocaine. Vanhouten was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
Deputies transported Vanhouten to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, where she was processed and released. She received an appearance ticket and a uniform traffic ticket, both directing her to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court.
The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, the Village of Waterloo Police Department, and the New York State Police assisted in the case.
