Attorney Joe Dinolfo has announced his candidacy for the New York State Supreme Court in the Seventh Judicial District, which includes Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties.
With more than 30 years of legal experience, Dinolfo emphasized his commitment to integrity in the judicial system. A longtime community member, he has served as a volunteer firefighter with the Egypt Fire Department for two decades.
“I’m running for State Supreme Court to serve the people of the Seventh Judicial District with integrity, fairness, and respect,” Dinolfo said. “My decades of experience in the courtroom and service in our community have prepared me well for the conflicts that arise every day in State Supreme Court.”
For the past 14 years, Dinolfo has worked at the New York State Appellate Division, 4th Department, representing cognitively disadvantaged individuals in civil litigation. Previously, he ran his own law practice for nearly two decades, handling cases in family, criminal, and civil law. He also served as a Hearing Examiner for the City of Rochester.
A Rochester native and first-generation American, Dinolfo attended SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Brockport, and the University of Dayton, where he earned his law degree. He now resides in Fairport with his wife, Nathalie, and their three daughters.
Dinolfo is running as a Republican and Conservative candidate. Two seats are open in the Seventh Judicial District this election cycle due to the retirements of Justices Gail Donofrio and Craig Doran. The General Election is set for November 4, 2025, with early voting from October 25 to November 2. Absentee ballots are available for those who request them.
