Dozens gathered outside Congressman Nick Langworthy’s Corning office to protest proposed federal cuts, according to WETM. Around 50 to 60 demonstrators voiced concerns over reductions to programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, and library funding.
Participants, including veterans and local activists, accused lawmakers of undermining essential services while claiming otherwise. Many left handwritten messages at the office, urging Langworthy to represent all constituents, not just those aligned with his party.
The protest followed previous demonstrations in the area and included broader messages opposing fascism, tax breaks for the wealthy, and political favoritism.
