Ontario County updates poll sites, adjusts election district boundaries

The Ontario County Board of Elections has finalized its list of polling locations for the upcoming General Election on November 4, making minor adjustments to election district boundaries in the towns of Canandaigua and Farmington.

A total of 44 polling sites have been designated, with only one change from last year’s election. Voters in the Town of West Bloomfield will now cast their ballots at the West Bloomfield Town Hall on Daylight Drive instead of the Ionia Fire Station on County Road 14.

Starting April 1, revised election district boundaries in Canandaigua and Farmington will take effect to balance voter distribution. In Canandaigua, approximately 850 voters from District 2 will move to District 1, and nearly 500 voters from District 3 will shift to District 2. Those reassigned from District 3 will now vote at the Canandaigua School Operations Building on Airport Road.

Similarly, in Farmington, around 700 voters from District 6 will be transferred to District 8. These residents, living east of the Auburn Trail and south of County Road 41, will continue voting at Mertensia Park Lodge Building on Mertensia Road.

To help voters navigate the changes, the Board of Elections will mail yellow voter notice cards in the coming weeks, confirming registration details, district assignments, and polling locations. Election maps and further details are available on the Board’s website.
