A one-car crash in Palmyra early Sunday morning left an 18-year-old driver injured, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Zyler Reeves, of Walworth, was driving north on Newark Marion Road when his vehicle veered off the east side of the roadway, crashing through a fence. The vehicle continued moving before striking a tree and landing on its side.

Reeves sustained injuries in the accident, including a suspected broken wrist. He was transported by ambulance to Newark Wayne Hospital for treatment.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Emergency crews from Ricci’s Tow, Palmyra Fire Department Rescue 9, East Palmyra Fire, and Finger Lakes Ambulance 5 assisted at the scene.
