A Honeoye Falls woman was arrested for petit larceny Saturday afternoon after allegedly attempting to steal merchandise from the Victor Walmart, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a shoplifting complaint at the store, located at 441 Commerce Drive, at approximately 2:24 p.m. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Yang Wang, 40, had concealed items in her shopping cart, bypassed all points of sale, and failed to pay. The total value of the stolen merchandise was reported to be $379.06.
Wang was taken into custody without incident and later released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to respond to the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
