A Sodus man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection and preventing a victim from calling 911, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies took Ryan J. Sauer, 29, into custody following an investigation into a domestic incident. Sauer faces charges of second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Authorities say Sauer was at the same residence as the victim despite an active order of protection. He also allegedly interfered with the victim’s attempt to call emergency services.
Sauer was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he will remain until arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
