A Geneva man was arrested Saturday after police say he unlawfully entered a residence and assaulted another person while two children were present.
Michael L. Jenkins, 28, was taken into custody on Avenue E after officers responded to a domestic incident in progress. Geneva police say Jenkins entered the home without permission and intentionally caused physical injury to an individual inside. Two children under the age of 17 were in the residence at the time.
Jenkins faces multiple charges, including second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities did not release further details on the victim’s condition.
