Penn Yan Community Read highlights immigration journey

The Penn Yan Action Coalition’s sixth annual Community Read features Immigrant by Marcos Antil, a memoir detailing his journey from Guatemala to the U.S. as an undocumented child fleeing war.

Free copies are available at the Penn Yan Public Library, with additional copies for purchase. Events include a Community Connections panel on March 14 at 6 p.m. featuring immigration experts, and an author talk with Antil on March 22 at 4 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church. A pre-recorded interview with Zeke Hernandez, author of The Truth About Immigration, will also be presented.
