Damar Hamlin’s remarkable NFL journey continues in Buffalo.

The Bills announced Wednesday that they re-signed the 26-year-old safety to a one-year contract before he became an unrestricted free agent.

Hamlin is coming off his most productive season in the NFL nearly two years after his cardiac arrest, starting 14 games for Buffalo last season. He recorded a career-best five pass breakups, tallied his first two career interceptions, and added 89 tackles.

The former sixth-round pick has posted 184 career tackles over 48 career games (27 starts).

Hamlin joins running back Ty Johnson, fullback Reggie Gilliam, and long-snapper Reid Ferguson as players who have re-signed with Buffalo this offseason.
