An Ontario woman has been arrested following an investigation into a reported domestic incident, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Terry Bove, 35, of Ontario Center Road, faces charges of Harassment in the 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Resisting Arrest.
Deputies responded to the incident, which allegedly escalated from a verbal argument to a physical altercation involving two family members. According to investigators, Bove struck one of the victims while a 4-year-old child was present. The child, fearing for their safety, called another family member for help. When that family member arrived, Bove allegedly continued her aggressive behavior, striking the second individual while the child remained at the scene.
Deputies arriving at the residence attempted to take Bove into custody, but she reportedly resisted before being secured. She was transported to the Wayne County Jail and is awaiting arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of all residents, particularly children, and urged those experiencing domestic violence to seek assistance.
