A Penn Yan man has been charged with harassment following an alleged physical altercation, according to the Penn Yan Police Department.
Police arrested 35-year-old Cory D. Scotchmer on February 19 at 9:23 a.m. for harassment in the second degree. Authorities say Scotchmer engaged in a confrontation with another individual, subjecting them to unwanted physical contact.
Following the incident, Penn Yan Village Court approved a criminal summons for Scotchmer. He was served with the summons and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of the altercation or the condition of the alleged victim.
