After two unsuccessful attempts, the Village of Dryden has been awarded a $4.5 million NY Forward grant to enhance its downtown area. Village officials credited the win to a collaborative effort among village officials, the business community, and residents.
The grant, part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s initiative to boost small-town economies, will help Dryden create a vibrant, walkable downtown with improved infrastructure, housing, and business opportunities. Dryden joins Bath and Binghamton in receiving significant funding.
Officials have yet to finalize specific projects, but the investment is expected to drive economic growth and community engagement. Leaders say the funding will transform Dryden into a thriving hub for businesses and families.
