The Cayuga Museum of History and Art is preparing a new exhibit to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Korean War and is collecting artifacts, stories, and documents from Cayuga County residents.
More than 1,000 locals served in the war, with 25 losing their lives. The exhibit, running from May 31 to Sept. 13, will highlight their experiences both overseas and on the home front. Accompanying programs will include film screenings and lectures.
Residents can contribute items until March 21. All loaned artifacts will be insured and returned after the exhibit. Those interested in participating can contact the museum.
