Auburn police arrested a man at the Cayuga Inn last week following an alleged domestic incident earlier that day, according to a media release from authorities.
The suspect, identified as Adam Thomas Jr., 23, reportedly punched a woman at 128 Pulsifer Dr. around 5:45 p.m. He fled the scene before officers arrived. Investigators found that an infant had also been present during the assault. Police later located Thomas Jr. at the Cayuga Inn, where they arrested him for violating a protective order involving another woman.
Thomas Jr. faces charges including third-degree assault and child endangerment. He is currently in the Cayuga County Jail, with the district attorney recommending he be held without bail.
