Explore world flavors at Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s ‘Ports of Call’ event

Wine and food lovers will soon embark on a global tasting adventure in the Finger Lakes. The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s annual “Ports of Call: Wine and Food Event” is set to return on February 22-23, offering visitors a chance to sample international flavors without a passport.

Nine wineries along the trail will each represent a different country, showcasing expertly paired food and wine selections. Guests can savor traditional French Onion Soup alongside a robust red wine, or enjoy the sweet, nutty delight of Swedish Almond Bars complemented by a bright white. The menu promises diverse offerings such as Korean Japchae and German Sauerbraten, paired with wines designed to elevate each dish’s unique profile.

“Ports of Call is more than just a tasting event—it’s a chance to explore the world’s flavors without leaving the Finger Lakes,” said Katherine Chase, Executive Director of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Whether it’s rich Italian cuisine or the spice of New Orleans that excites the palate, visitors will encounter a wide variety of tastes at each winery stop.

Event tickets, priced at $60 for general admission and $32 for designated drivers, grant access to food and wine pairings at all participating locations, three extra wine samples per stop, and a keepsake souvenir glass. Guests can enjoy the full experience over the course of two days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Participating wineries include Americana Vineyards, Buttonwood Grove Winery, and Six Mile Creek Winery, among others. Organizers are encouraging early ticket purchases to secure spots at this sought-after weekend experience.
