Trump asks SpaceX to retrieve stranded astronauts

  • Staff Report

President Donald Trump has urged Elon Musk to expedite the return of NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams from the ISS. The astronauts, originally on an eight-day mission, have been stranded since June 2024 due to propulsion issues with Boeing’s Starliner capsule.

NASA planned their return via SpaceX’s Crew-9 capsule, but delays with Crew-10 postponed the plan. Trump criticized the Biden administration on Truth Social, accusing them of abandoning the astronauts, while Musk assured that SpaceX would bring them home soon.
