State agencies are monitoring cases and providing guidance to local health officials. Farmers are advised to limit poultry contact with wild birds, report illnesses, and follow USDA biosecurity protocols. Additionally, New York is enhancing testing on dairy farms to prevent potential outbreaks in livestock.

New import and testing requirements for dairy cattle remain in place. Farmers can access federal support programs for biosecurity and financial assistance related to HPAI prevention and response.
