President Donald Trump has announced a slate of key appointments to the White House Offices of Communications, Public Liaison, and Cabinet Affairs, as his administration prepares for its second term. The appointees, many of whom are returning from previous roles in the Trump administration or campaign, bring extensive experience in political strategy, communications, and public outreach.
The appointments will be overseen by Taylor Budowich, who serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Public Liaison, and Cabinet Secretary.
Alex Pfeiffer will join as Principal Deputy Communications Director, bringing experience from his work on the Trump-Vance 2024 Campaign and as a producer for Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight. Kaelan Dorr, a former Senior Strategist for MAGA Inc., will serve as Deputy Communications Director, while Harrison Fields, who served as Assistant Press Secretary during Trump’s first term, will return as Principal Deputy Press Secretary.
The team also includes Anna Kelly and Kush Desai as Deputy Press Secretaries, Jake Schneider as Rapid Response Director, and Johanna Persing as Cabinet Communications Director.
Jim Goyer will return to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Public Liaison. Lynne Patton, known for her work at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and advocacy for minority communities, will take on the role of Director of Minority Outreach. Other appointments include Hailey Borden as Director of Business Outreach and Alex Flemister as Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Lea Bardon, a veteran of the America First Policy Institute, will join as Director of Cabinet Affairs, tasked with managing agency collaboration. Thomas Bradbury and Cami Connor will serve in policy and agency outreach roles.
The appointments reflect Trump’s reliance on trusted allies from his previous administration and campaign to steer communications and engagement efforts. The focus on experienced figures underscores the administration’s intent to maintain a cohesive message and strategic outreach as it resumes governance.
