The villages of Clyde and Macedon are among eight upstate communities sharing $1 million in grants from the New York State Canal Corp. The funding supports projects aimed at boosting recreation, tourism, and economic development along the canal system.

Clyde will upgrade Lauraville Landing Park with enhanced docks, ADA-compliant ramps, and new amenities. Macedon plans to construct an inclusive playground at Gravino Park as part of broader park renovations.

The project also includes EV charging stations and visitor-friendly docks, highlighting Clyde’s commitment to accessible, modern facilities. Macedon’s project connects Gravino Park to downtown revitalization efforts and nearby housing developments.
