Finger Lakes Distilling Co., a pioneer in New York’s craft spirits scene, has opened a second location in Newfield, near Ithaca, according to recent announcements. The new tasting room at 1143 Elmira Road complements their original site in Burdett, offering tastings, bottle sales, and light food on weekends.
While distilling operations will stay in Burdett, the Newfield facility provides additional storage and will host bottling operations in the future. This expansion reflects growing demand and the need for more space, as noted by owner Brian McKenzie.
Known for locally sourced whiskeys and gins, Finger Lakes also introduced “Mac’s,” a budget-friendly cocktail line, and plans to launch a collaboration with Ithaca Beer Co. soon. The site’s proximity to local breweries and wineries enhances the area’s craft beverage appeal.
