Penn Yan police responded to a complaint on January 1 regarding a fight behind a local establishment, ultimately leading to a pair of arrests. Witnesses reported seeing two men engaged in a physical altercation in the parking lot.
Samuel G. Madigan Jr., 41, of Dundee, was later identified as one of the individuals involved. Officers investigated the incident and requested a summons for disorderly conduct through the village court.
Lester J. Miller, 58, of Penn Yan, told officers he did not know why the altercation occurred. He was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court.
