An 83-year-old woman in Brevard County was allegedly attacked and robbed by her housekeeper, 29-year-old Heather Nelson, after refusing to provide a $500 Christmas bonus.
Authorities say Nelson forcibly took the victim’s checkbook and Christmas cards containing checks, later cashing one for $1,400.
Police obtained a warrant for Nelson, who faces charges including robbery, forgery, and grand theft. The sheriff’s office likened Nelson’s actions to “The Grinch,” noting their agents swiftly intervened to protect the elderly victim and bring the suspect to justice.
