Prosecutors say a man who was taken into custody in North Carolina last year has pleaded guilty to rape and other sex crimes against children.
The victims of 67-year-old Marcel Veilleux were under 13 years old.
He pleaded guilty in Schuyler County Court to one count of first-degree rape; one count of first-degree criminal sex act; and two counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child.
All of the charges are serious felonies.
Veilleux admitted to the sex crimes during court proceedings and confirmed that at least one of his victims were under 13. He also confirmed that the abuse occurred multiple times over a period of time.
Veilleux is scheduled for sentencing on March 13. He faces up to 25 years in prison.
