Dell rebrands PC lineup, retiring XPS, Inspiron, and Latitude

At CES 2025, Dell announced a major rebranding, consolidating its product lines into Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max to simplify its offerings. The Dell line targets consumers, Dell Pro focuses on business users, and Dell Pro Max serves high-performance workstation needs.

Despite aiming for clarity, Dell introduced sub-tiers like Base, Plus, and Premium across all categories, causing some naming confusion. The XPS brand now falls under Dell Premium, while Dell Pro Max systems include oddly redundant names like Dell Pro Max Mini.

The rebranding lacks significant new hardware. The Dell Pro Premium 13 boasts lightweight design and long battery life, while the Pro Premium 14 features a tandem OLED screen. Consumer models, including the Dell 14 and 16 Plus, remain largely unchanged from previous designs.
