A Savannah man was arrested Tuesday following a domestic incident in which he allegedly assaulted an elderly victim, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Elijah Vreeland, 27, of Mead Road, was taken into custody after deputies responded to an incident in the Town of Savannah. Authorities say Vreeland engaged in an argument with a victim aged 65 or older, during which he allegedly backed the victim against a kitchen sink and struck them multiple times in the face with his forehead, causing injuries.
Vreeland was charged with assault in the second degree, a felony. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
