The Canandaigua Town Board determined that planned improvements to Onanda Park Uplands and North Road will not cause significant environmental harm under the State Environmental Quality Review Act.
At Onanda Park, upgrades include expanded parking, ADA-compliant cabins and bathrooms, year-round utilities, and emergency access improvements. The North Road project involves road reconstruction, stormwater system upgrades, a culvert replacement, and an extended sidewalk connecting Canandaigua Academy to nearby pathways, with a pocket park added at County Road 28.
Both projects aim to enhance safety, accessibility, and infrastructure without environmental disruption.
