A franchisee for Sonic Drive-In has paused plans to open Auburn’s first location after withdrawing its site plan application, according to The Citizen.
The proposal included demolishing a residence on Grant Avenue to build a 1,227-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and car-side service.
The Auburn Planning Board had tabled the application in June pending a stormwater review and a traffic study by the New York State Department of Transportation.
No major concerns were raised about the project, but Solar Restaurants II LLC has not moved forward.
