  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

A 46-year-old man from Canandaigua was arrested on Thursday for failing to verify his address in accordance with New York State’s Sex Offender Registry guidelines.

Joshua L. Tiffany was taken into custody by the City of Canandaigua Police Department at approximately 1 p.m. on December 19. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket. Tiffany is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua City Court on January 8 at 8:30 a.m.

State law mandates that individuals registered as sex offenders must verify their addresses regularly. Failing to do so is a violation that can result in legal consequences, including fines or imprisonment.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of Tiffany’s failure to comply.
