FBI warns iPhone, Android users of hacking risks

The FBI has warned mobile users about Chinese hackers accessing call and text data, urging people to avoid sending texts. This comes as Apple’s recent adoption of RCS messaging lacks end-to-end encryption, leaving communications vulnerable.

While Google and GSMA plan to add encryption to RCS, the update may take months. Experts advise users to switch to secure messaging apps like WhatsApp for protection. Apple has remained largely silent on enhancing RCS security.
