The Waterloo village board approved applying for a $1 million Restore NY grant to demolish Village Hall, aiming to clear 41 W. Main St. for a new, mixed-use building, The Finger Lakes Times reports.
Officials hope this project strengthens their bid for Downtown Revitalization funds for a structure with offices, police facilities, and apartments. Mayor Walt Bennett will submit the application by Dec. 20.
The board also accepted a William Street Field property transfer and announced the commissioning of a new water tank on North Road.
