Canandaigua town property owners will face a $149 average tax hike in 2025 due to infrastructure projects, The Finger Lakes Times reports.
The $6.2 million North Road reconstruction, which includes sidewalks, drainage, and safety improvements, accounts for most of the increase. This project raises the tax rate by $1.15 per $1,000 of assessed value, adding $106 to an average bill.
Other budget items include new staff positions, highway equipment upgrades, and fire hydrant replacements.
