NFL Hall of Famer and ESPN analyst Randy Moss announced he is a cancer survivor, according to a video shared on Instagram. The 47-year-old revealed he underwent a Whipple procedure following bile duct cancer surgery. Moss said his diagnosis came after experiencing symptoms like discolored urine.
Moss explained he recently had a stent placed in his liver during a Thanksgiving procedure. He launched new “We got Moss” merchandise, with proceeds supporting cancer research. ESPN confirmed Moss would step away from Sunday NFL Countdown to focus on recovery.
Moss, one of the NFL’s greatest wide receivers, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. He played 14 seasons, primarily with the Minnesota Vikings, and recorded 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns.
