Dryden Road sidewalk closure prompts traffic detours

A section of Dryden Road in Ithaca’s Collegetown will see pedestrian and traffic disruptions on December 10 and 11, according to city officials. The north sidewalk will be closed mid-block, while the south sidewalk remains open. Access to businesses on the north side will still be available, though brief delays may occur.


Detours will reroute traffic as follows:

  • Northbound on College Ave: Detour via Campus Road to Stewart Ave to E. Buffalo St to Eddy St.
  • Southbound on College Ave: Detour via Mitchell St to E. State/MLK St to Stewart Ave to E. Buffalo St to Eddy St.
  • Northbound on Eddy St: Detour via Williams St to Stewart Ave to Campus Road to College Ave to Dryden Rd.
  • Southbound on Eddy St: Detour via E. State/MLK St to Mitchell St to College Ave to Dryden Rd.

Work will begin at 5 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, and conclude by 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 11.
