A Buffalo man faces charges of grand larceny and criminal mischief following an investigation into a theft at a Waterloo business earlier this year.
Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson announced the arrest of 30-year-old Luis J. Olivero on December 4. Investigators allege that on March 7, Olivero entered the business, damaged a security cage to access a generator worth $1,199, and left without paying.
Olivero was taken into custody on an arrest warrant and appeared before the Town of Waterloo Court, where he was released on his own recognizance. He was then returned to Erie County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
