Mayor Jim Orman announced progress on acquiring the college’s stagecoach and omnibus through a memorandum of understanding. This gift, part of the college’s asset disposition plan amid its closure, will keep the 156-year-old institution’s legacy alive.

Additionally, the Aurora board advanced an offer to purchase Wells College’s lakefront property, including its boathouse and adjacent land, for a proposed waterfront park. Both moves hinge on state approval.
