Odessa-Montour High School’s homecoming football game, scheduled for Friday has been canceled due to a lack of eligible players from the opposing team, Oxford.
O-M officials announced the change on Tuesday, citing Oxford’s inability to field a team.
In place of the football game, O-M’s varsity boys soccer team will face Watkins Glen on Friday at 7:30 p.m., with the match now serving as the homecoming event.
The homecoming parade and dance will proceed as planned, and the homecoming court, along with the king and queen, will be introduced at halftime of the soccer game.
