Ethan White, 23, of Rochester, was arrested Wednesday evening in Seneca County following a robbery earlier this month at the Brockport Walmart. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, White stole a large quantity of meat on July 14 and threatened a witness with a sharp object in the parking lot.
The witness, who had a legally registered handgun, caused White to flee the scene. Authorities tracked White to a business in Seneca County, where he was apprehended just after 8 p.m. White faces multiple charges, including robbery, menacing, and reckless driving.
Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter condemned the act, stating, “These are not just petty thefts; we are all paying the price for this lawlessness.” White was arraigned and held at Monroe County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
