Phelps gets $1M grant for culvert project

The Town of Phelps has been awarded a $1 million grant to replace a culvert on Melvin Hill Road. This culvert carries water from a tributary to the Canandaigua Lake Outlet.

Town Supervisor Bill Wellman announced the grant, which is part of the state’s BRIDGE NY initiative.

Wellman, along with Highway Superintendent Terry Featherly, expressed gratitude for the funding. The project aims to reduce flooding risks in the area.
