The popular Palmyra Canaltown Days festival has been canceled for the foreseeable future. The festival’s board of directors made the decision on Tuesday, citing a lack of vendors, rising costs, and dwindling sponsorships.
The board noted that the festival has changed significantly over the years, losing many of its historical activities. “It is no longer the historical festival it was originally established to be,” they said on the festival’s website.
The 2024 festival is canceled, and the board has voted to dissolve the festival corporation entirely.
