Starting July 1, tipping fees at the Steuben County landfill and transfer stations will increase. The new fees will support the county’s Solid Waste Division Enterprise Fund, which covers operating costs solely through landfill user fees.
The fees have remained unchanged since 2022, but rising costs at the landfill and transfer stations necessitated the increase. This adjustment affects private individuals, businesses, industry, commercial haulers, and local political subdivisions within Steuben County.
