Anna Camnitz has been named valedictorian and Evie Groom salutatorian for the Lyons High School Class of 2024.
Anna Camnitz, daughter of Jerame and Angela Camnitz, excelled in rigorous courses like Chemistry, U.S. History, and English. She participated in the Early College Scholars program and served as president of both her class and the National Honor Society. Active in her community and passionate about pickleball, Camnitz will study psychological sciences at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Evie Groom, daughter of Robert and Linda Groom, has taken advanced courses in subjects such as Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, and Government. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Lyons Future Farmers of America, and the Lyons Leadership class. Groom is involved in the New York Junior Angus and Junior Beef Producers associations. She will attend SUNY Morrisville to major in Agricultural Business Development.
